The bestuurder of our VVE has his own agenda, and uses the VVE & his position (2nd largest apartment = more leverage when voting) in combination with bribing the voorzittender of the ALV (who has the largest apartment = most votes) to get his own set of non-standard crazy house rules validated.
This includes
– a rule about not sitting outside the house on the street (which would mean one would sit outside his window (he’s 1st floor)
– not having guests (friends & family) too often in the apartment for longer than a usually accepted timeframe (whatever that means)
As he needs a 75% majority to change the VVEs set of house rules, and didn’t get it without the other two apartments – he went through the set of 20 new rules and simply voted one by one (in which case he only needs a simple majority, which he and the voorzittender have together).
In the last 8years he’s been suing the apartment above him in the name of the VVE as he said that their floor is too noisy, and then he’s also tried to sue them because he didn’t like that they have guests around.
He lost several court cases (up to the Dutch Supreme Court) for the last 8years.
Is there any regulating body or any other agency (apart from our lawyers – there’s things like that for tenants) that could help assess the options in this case?
Any response is appreciated, English or Dutch is fine. Apologies my Dutch isn’t good enough to explain this, but I read it rather well. Thanks.
